Inauguration Fashion

Yesterday marked a very important day in history. We celebrated the annual remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr. We celebrated the inauguration of President Barack Obama for his second term. And most importantly, we celebrated some of our favorite fashion icons.

For starters, Michelle Obama looked fabulous (as usual). She started off the morning in a Thom Browne dress, accompanied with J.Crew accessories including a belt, gloves and shoes. Later in the evening, the first lady surprised everyone with a red Jason Wu dress and Jimmy Choo shoes. Her new bangs made the outfit even more glamorous.

Following in their mother’s footsteps, Malia and Sasha Obama arrived in style too. The sisters were sporting J.Crew and Kate Spade coats, respectively. The two also wore matching colored tights and flats.

Moving on to some of the celebrities that made an appearance at yesterday’s festivities. Beyonce looked great in her black Emilio Pucci gown. But, her accessories are what made the outfit pop even more. Emerald earrings and an orange manicure! According to Beyonce’s manicurist Lisa Logan, the color used was NCLA Nail Lacquer “I’m With the Band.”

Finally, who could overlook Jennifer Hudson. Not only did she give an outstanding performance of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” but she also looked stunning. Dressed in a simple black gown that highlighted her new-and-improved slim physique, Hudson’s attire was anything but ordinary. Check out those shoes!
